ARTISTS
Zlatka Angelova
Zlatka Angelova is a Bulgarian artist who has been living in Jacksonville, FL, since 2016. Growing up in a small town near the Black Sea, she develops a profound connection with the sea and nature that becomes the source of her art inspiration. Her love for the ocean, sea, and all the aquatic and marine life is presented in most of her paintings. Another subject of her artistic expression is her fascination with trees, their beauty, and significance for the collective wellbeing. She creates in a variety of mediums, as her favorites are oil paints and watercolors.

Her oil paintings represent a deep merge with one's feelings, spiritual, and psychological self into a fantasy dimension. Her paintings explore feelings, states of mind, and reflect periods related to collective emotional healing and philosophical interpretation of reality. Her subjects are often related to seeing the world from deep within.

Her watercolors are inspired by the beauty in everyday life. She publishes videos of her watercolor painting process on her art page, hoping to inspire people to embrace their authenticity and encourage them to start painting with a sense of complete freedom, love, and joy. She truly believes that every person is an artist with a unique, inspiring, one-of-a-kind artistic style.

Zlatka Angelova is available for private bookings

I drew this portrait of Dali, back when I was in high school. Class of 2010... He made me a really great, and popular artist, back in those years of life. Got me a bunch of under the table commissions, from mostly all teachers and staff of the school. Also, got me local recognition, in downtown Hollywood FL, when my art teacher started displaying him in city art shows, to represent our schools art education. Anc currently in hangs up in my living room.

Under the Surface comes from that deep childhood fear that something lurks beneath the surface of all water. I used to imagine all sorts of deep sea monsters lurking in all types of water as a child. Now a days the monsters prove to still be swimming in the depths of my imagination.

Title or Location: Island Sunset
This 9x12 watercolor was inspired by a photograph of the Turks and Caicos Islands at sunset where she was recently visiting. Plam trees dominate tge scene overlaying the bushes with a peek of the cabanas and calm ocean in the background. You see the sky at sunset with dark rainclouds on the horizon. I painted this piece to exemplify atmospheric landscapes with both energy and tranquility,
